The DETOX DIET method, which we have heard frequently recently, is one of them.
What does the word detox mean?
The word DETOKS, derived from the English word DETOXIFICATION, which is based on the word "toxin", means "toxin (poison) excretion / purification". DETOX DIET, on the other hand, can be briefly defined as making it easier to strengthen and weaken by purifying the body from the accumulations caused by our diet and environmental factors.

With the help of this program, the main goal is to clean the digestive and excretory systems and to provide relief thanks to the edema removed from the body.

There is no single form or duration of detox. You can reach ready-made detox diet programs prepared by experts from various sources, or you can request a special program to be prepared for you by consulting a nutritionist. While you may encounter short-term (1-3 days) programs that contain only liquid nutrition, you can also find 1-week - 15 / 21-day lists that prohibit certain foods and recommend that some foods be consumed in certain amounts. The most striking feature of liquid diets is that they are for a short time (maximum 3 days) and consist of fresh vegetable and fruit juices consumed at regular intervals throughout the day instead of meals. Some programs focus on light and quality nutrition.
The body is kept away from heavy, fatty, acidic and complex foods for a while and it is aimed to revive the metabolism with healthy foods, most of which are consumed raw. In some programs, restrictions draw attention rather than content. Salt-free / sugar-free / gluten-free, etc. Let's take lists as an example. In some programs, restrictions are related to the number and frequency of meals. Fasting programs with 1 or at most 2 meals, which aim to purify with long fasting hours, are examples of these. Regardless of the form, duration and content of the program, the purpose of detox diets is to remove excess fluid called edema from the body, and heavy metals, undigested residues, etc. It aims to increase the metabolic rate and burn fat more easily by removing wastes and cleaning the system. It can be a good method to accelerate weight loss diets and overcome hesitations by helping to solve problems such as drowsiness, sleep disorder, stress, inactivity, bloating, intestinal laziness caused by these residues.
