So which one is healthier? Scientific studies show that dark chocolate compared to milk chocolate; It is associated with lower blood pressure, less cardiovascular disease, less type 2 diabetes, and lower mortality.
If the effect of two kinds of chocolate on saturation is examined; It has been observed that dark chocolate provides the feeling of fullness at a higher level, suppresses food consumption and excess energy intake at the next meal. In addition, scientific studies have shown that milk can inhibit the absorption of flavonoids by the body. At this point, dark chocolate is also made healthier than milk chocolate.
In addition, although the nutritional composition of dark chocolate appears to be healthier than milk chocolate, there was no clear difference in blood sugar and insulin levels. More research is needed on these issues.
As a result, although there is no significant difference between them, it can be said that it is healthier to prefer 25-30 grams (2-3 pieces) of dark chocolate containing 70% cocoa per week.
